Alzheimer's and Your Loved One
No two people experience Alzheimer's disease in the same way. As a result,
there's no single approach to care giving. Your care giving
responsibilities can range from making financial decisions, managing
changes in behavior, to helping a loved one get dressed in the morning.
Experiencing the changes in a loved one who has Alzheimer's disease or a
related dementia can be difficult. Finding a special place your loved one
can call home shouldn't be. Placing a loved one is an important decision
which requires careful consideration. We will show you some of the reasons
why you will want your loved one to reside at Streamside.
The facility is nestled alongside the green belt with
well-designed floor plans including a kitchen, living room and dining areas.
These beautifully decorated common areas are the center of activity. Fully
furnished private suites with bathrooms are arranged to create a sense of
privacy. A security system and fully enclosed backyard enable residents to
safely enjoy inside and out.
A warm, family environment is felt in each of our facilities. Each facility
allows for high staff-to-resident ratios. This means your loved one receives
more individualized care than the normal facility. Our staff, are experienced
caregivers and well-trained in the special needs related to Alzheimer's and
dementia issues. You can rest easy knowing that our staff treats all residents
with dignity and respect.
Resident quality of life is a primary goal in our facilities. The staff is
dedicated to helping each resident achieve and maintain the highest level of
independence to ensure the best possible care, a detailed assessment and care
plan are completed in partnership with the family. Residents feel important
and valued through encouragement to participate in various home like activities like
setting the table, and folding laundry- including music therapy, reminiscence, group
and individual programs based off resident needs.
